From the gentle slopes of the Prealpi, from the majestic Alps to the soaring peaks of the Dolomites with their enchanting shapes and constantly changing color, pearly at sunrise and glowing pink at sun­down. If the names of these mountains are world famous it is not by mere chance: Cristallo, the Tofane which dominate Cortina, the Marmolada, the highest peak of the Dolomites, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo soaring above the lake of Misurina, the Marmarole so dear to the great Tiziano whose birthplace was nearby Pieve di Cadore, the Majestic Peimo, Antelao, Civetta, the watershed between the Agordino and the Val di Zoldo, Peralpa and Sappada, Focobon in the valley of the Biois, the Vette Feltrine and the Monti del Sole.

These and many other magnificent peaks of the Dolomites offer hundreds of kilometers of paths, ferrates and climbs in summer and are the much aspired aim of excursionists and climbers for the many possi­bilities they offer; in winter they are the beautiful sce­nery that surrounds the skiers' paradise and make a healthy open-air holiday all the more beautiful. It would be impossible to list all splendors this area in so rich in, not to mention attractions such as the National park of the Belluno Dolomites and the nature park of the Ampezzo, or the food with its range of typical products and delicious local dishes.
